This city centre modern apartment is set in a recently rebuild building in old historic Lisbon. This bright, daylight filled, 3rd floor apartment is located in Luis de Camões Square, one of the most important squares dedicated to the Portuguese Prince of the poetry, with the statue in the centre which was erected in 1867, has a privilege situation in the heart of the cultural and historical part of the city (Bairro Alto and Chiado), very close to several museums, operas, theatres and churches. Located in front of the luxurious 5 stars Bairro Alto Hotel. Accommodation comprises one bedroom with a double bed, living room with dining and sitting areas, full bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has air-conditioning and central heating in all the rooms. This privileged location offers easy access by foot to the subway (Chiado/Baixa station – 50 m). The apartment is 90 sqm and includes the following amenities:
a) 1 bedroom with a double bed;
b) Living room with dining and sitting areas, and with 2 sofa-beds with 2 double beds;
c) Cable TV, with English speaking channels;
d) DVD player and stereo;
e) Complete kitchen with microwave, fridge and freezer, a washing machine and dish washer;
f) Bathroom with bathtub;
g) Highchair and baby cot available;
h) Bed linen and towels provided. Air-conditioning and Central Heating are available on all the rooms. New building in the historic Lisbon centre, that was rebuilt in 2001. The building has 2 elevators, being accessible to wheelchair. We will welcome you with a nice bottle of wine.
Location
Apartment located at the heart of historical Lisbon, in the Luis de Camões Square, between Bairro Alto and Chiado. A 5 minute walk takes you to the Rossio, in the Baixa, and to the Elevador da Lavra. On the other direction you will reach the Praça do Comércio, where has located the centre of the Portuguese old empire near the river Tejo (Tagus). To go to Sintra or to Óbidos you must catch the train at Entre-Campos train station, which is just a short subway trip from Chiado. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, cash machine, public transportation (subway and electric trams) and 24 hour taxi stands, etc.

We had a six night stay at this apt and in our 3 week Portugal/Spain visit, this was our favourite spot! The apt.was very spacious, the location overlooks a lovely square in the quaintest part of Lisbon, and the restaurants and shops in the streets just behind us were wonderful. Miguel, who met us outside and showed us around the place, was very helpful and made us feel at home right from the start. The apt. itself is well equipped, VERY well situated, and overall,we had a fabulous experience here. We would definitely stay here again if we're fortunate enough to return to Lisbon!

Lisbon was the third city we visited as part of our European trip, and boy did it not disappoint! The city was beautiful. We saw both the modern and "old" part of the city and we enjoyed them tremendously. This apt. was perfect for our family of 3. It gave us the most bang for our buck. Plenty of space all around (the bathroom was really nice!), washer/dryer a plus, very clean and so convenient to sites, great restaurants, grocery, ATM. Taxi is very cheap in Lisbon. It cost about 6+ euros to get us to the airport. We hope to be back soon and would stay here again in a heartbeat. |

What a lovely spacious and sunny apartment. The winter sun really warms the apartment well, no need for heating! Well furnished with every thing we needed, and comfortable sofa bed in the lounge room if needed. Perfect location for the 28 tram, metro and supermarket which overlooks a beautiful plaza (square). |
